Welcome to the Cirencester Bowls Club website

Our address is:- Cirencester Bowling Club, Brewery Car Park, Ashcroft Road, Cirencester, GL7 1QX.
(see Location page for details of how to find us)

The Club was founded in 1930. The Club House and Green have been progressively improved over the years, largely through the efforts of the Club Members. The ground is owned by the Club, but we have to use the Council’s public Car Park. Since 1935 the Club has been open to men and women bowlers and there is an extensive programme of Men’s, Ladies and Mixed friendly matches against other Clubs, as well as many Club competitions. The Club enters teams in several National and Gloucestershire County Competitions and Leagues. On Friday evenings, members can enjoy social “roll ups” on our Club night along with Rock-Up-And-Roll aimed at new bowlers and casual Social players.  On Thursday evenings Club Players take part in the popular Club Triples League.

We part of the Gloucestershire Bowling Association with a current Full Playing membership of 32 Men and 16 Ladies.  We also have 3 casual Social Players and 47 Social (non-playing) members (April 2026 figures).  In addition to the summer outdoor bowls season we have a thriving indoor bowls section which meets in the Club House most mornings, afternoons and evening during the Winter months. Some members only play indoors but most also play outdoors taking part in friendly matches and club or league competitions.

New members are always welcome particularly at the Rock-Up-And-Roll Friday evenings from 5.30pm.

Club Nights run from May until September, with Rock-Up-And-Roll from May until July, both starting at 5:30pm. Dress Smart Casual (no Combats)
